Who are you? How’d you get here?

I’m Donnie / Donny / Don-E / Donald Coady (Dc). I am aware of the ironic over-branding. I got here as a result of a lifetime as an illustrator and writer, turned graphic artist and web developer. From class to student council president roles at two campuses over four years, as well as ACE membership (now Enactus), I caught those leadership feels. Nowadays, creating and leading — at work and in various volunteer capacities — is life. I like it here.

What’s your role at Dc? What are your technical abilities?

I’m the Creative Director. I obsess over every production we take on — big or small, I love it all. The service aspects, the relationships. Technically, I’m a writer and a graphic artist.

What’s your passion?

The ideas. Big ones … with legs. That’s my jam. And volunteering. And music. And having a time.

What’s your “why”?

My clients are brave. They run small businesses. They power not-for-profits. Using our talents for branding, content creation, and campaigns, we help them to brand better, because they are the ones who make our city and province a better place to live and work.

Random Fact

I can touch the back of my head with the soles of my feet.

Who are you? How’d you get here?

After spending a couple of years in the Alberta oil sands, I realized I wanted to do work that I love and enjoy, so I enrolled at College of the North Atlantic. After gaining a work term with Dc, I’ve been hooked and haven’t left!

What’s your role at Dc? What are your technical abilities?

I am the Production Lead. I help move jobs through our processes and get all creative work into our system. I assist in the day to day operations here at Dc, and I am currently completing a digital marketing diploma so I can take a lead on all digital strategies for our clients.

What’s your passion?

I’m passionate about animals, especially my kitty, Gigi! I’m also passionate about my family and my friends (that I love as much as family), and about creating an amazing life on this little island we call home.

What’s your “why”?

I want to be someone who does amazing things. I want to make a difference in people’s lives.

Random Fact

My first job was selling vegetables on the side of the road.

Who are you? How’d you get here?

I’m Sean Patrick Quinn, and I came by plane 7 years ago from Halifax, and found myself at Dc after a successful work-term in 2012!

What’s your role at Dc? What are your technical abilities?

I am a Senior Graphic Designer on the creative team. I work mostly in the digital space, planning and designing custom web products and apps. I’ve done everything from print collateral, billboards, signs, business cards, and stationery, to video/animation, print/digital campaigns, and complex branding projects.

What’s your passion?

Being as far from the civilization as humanly possible, surrounded by nature with my wonderful partner in crime, Julie. Outside of that, my passions are hiking, cooking, drawing, and video games. And of course low edit rounds and a ton of high-fives!

What’s your “why”?

I make artwork all day with the best team out there — nuff said!
